Fingerprints
The Manalapan Township Police Department will only offer fingerprinting services to the residents of Manalapan Township, and for public safety volunteers who will be serving on one of the volunteer emergency service departments within Manalapan Township.
Any person who comes to be fingerprinted is required to bring the fingerprint card from the agency that is requiring the fingerprinting as any fingerprint cards that originate within the department have the reponse sent to this agency. There is no mechanism to forward these request to the agency that actually requested the prints.
A resident, who needs to be fingerprinted for employment background, professional licensing, and firearms licensing will be directed to “morphotrak”. Morphotrak is a private vendor licensed by the state of new jersey for that specific purpose, and can be located on the internet at www.morphotrak.com. If the employer or licensing agency provides the resident with a set of fingerprint cards of their own, the manalapan township police department will as a courtesy, fingerprint the resident if proper staffing is available.
Any resident that needs to be fingerprinted must have a government issued photo identification card listing their name, current address and all pertinent pedigree information the appears on the fingerprint card, at the time of fingerprinting
